The Conference Chair’s message for the Conference read as follows:

On behalf of the Organizing Committee I am delighted to invite you to attend the Water Resources Dialogue of the China-Africa Water Forum Series No. 7 that is titled “Risk Reduction through Sustainable Water Management in Developing Countries”. This will be the 7th such meeting on the Continent. The importance of sustainable water management for the well-being of the economy cannot be over-emphasized, as everything is dependent/ indirectly dependent on this vital resource.

This conference will share information, knowledge and technology applications about water related aspects with regard to both surface and groundwater. Besides an update of the latest information, it will also provide the opportunity for valuable networking, providing a platform for professionals and stakeholders to exchange refreshing ideas and knowledge. The organizing committee would like to ensure that the Water Resources Dialogue helps to advance the science and technology of sustainable surface and groundwater management while serving as a key platform for building up of valuable networks within the field of water management.

As sponsorship plays a very important role towards ensuring a successful conference at a reasonable price, a range of sponsorship opportunities has been prepared for organisations that would like contribute towards the success of this important event.

The Water Resources Dialogue will continue its commitment to bring together knowledge and policy makers working in the water sector, and to further enhance water resources management around the world. To all participants and key stakeholders we look forward to welcoming you to join us in Windhoek, at the Windhoek Country Club Resort, and to submit abstracts on your work as a means of becoming more directly engaged, and helping us strengthen the foundations for global water security.
